ABOUT
| During the summer, Art Yowza offers innovative one-week theme camps. We’ll be making wild inventions, fun sculptures and magical paintings related to the theme camp. The emphasis is on fun and creativity! | |

| Location: | Art Yowza is located in the carriage house studio at 1617 Encinal Ave, Alameda, CA 94501 |
| Cost: | $300 per Week or $65 per Day (see Special Requests below). Bring your own lunch. Snacks Provided. |
| Time: | 9am-4pm |
| Ages: | 5-11 |
| Special Requests | Camp-by-Day: The camps are set up with progressive steps per project, so it is best if children attend the full week to be able to take those steps along with the group. However if a child cannot attend the full week, we do have a day price per camp. |

CAMP DESCRIPTIONS
About Me gallery
It’s all about you! Become an accomplished artist. We’ll make drawings, paintings and collages of our favorite things and then build them into a cool accordion book portfolio. Learn a lot of new art collage techniques, take wild photographic self-portraits, and design your dream environment.
Around the World gallery
Get ready! Become an adventurer! We’ll make our own passports and travel to a new country each day. We’ll explore the culture, food and animals of each place and make drawings, paintings and sculptures from what we find.
Art Tricks gallery
Draw 3-D! Become an optical illusionist. We’ll learn art tricks for drawing the human figure, shading, perspective and foreshortening. We’ll transform our 3-D box drawing from a skyscraper to a robot to a multi-faceted gem.
Cartooning Fun gallery
Funny skillz! Become a cartoonist. We’ll draw Japanese anime and manga, develop crazy characters and stories. We’ll create a joke book, make funny videos and look at the world upside down with a humorous eye.
Creative Ninjas gallery
Invent it! Become an innovator! It all starts with design thinking. New games, toys and small businesses will be created. Teammates will help us brainstorm and improve our creations! Design challenges are on the growing edge of fun.
Magical Fantasy gallery
Yowza! Become a wild inventor. We’ll look at how things are built in the real world and add fantasy. We’ll design fantasy vehicles and dream environments with a dash of magic. We’ll assemble castles, wizards and dragons.
Passion for Fashion gallery
GO gaga! Become a crafty diva. We’ll make stylish items for your room, wardrobe and spirit whether you are into books, beauty or basketball. We’ll fashion accessorize and make clothes for small mannequins, too.
Puppet Parade gallery
It’s show time! Become a puppeteer! We’ll create puppets of all kinds, paint scenery and make costumes. Show your friends and family how your dinosaur puppet breaths fire, how your robot puppet dances, and how your tiger puppet purrs while telling a great story.
Sculpture Wow gallery
Build it! Become a sculptor. We’ll scale up with model magic, paper mache, wire and found objects. We’ll make action figures, exciting animals and fancy mobiles.
Super Silly Wacky gallery
Get started! Become an exhibiting artist. We’ll be making super silly wacky inventions for an art show! The themes are top secret this year. In the past, we made funny money, deep space aliens and disco dancing potatoes.
Young Designers gallery
Design It! Become a designer. We’ll have fun making small paintings, magnets, felt toys and funny buttons to sell. We’ll take it further by creating logos, branding and opening a small store.
