Art Yowza has fun three-hour theme parties. Come play with ideas and art materials. No art experience necessary. The emphasis is on fun, creativity and self-exploration.

Cost:	$300 = 3 hours for 6 people. Additional invitees are $45 each. Maximum 12 people. (except Shadow Box Party, see below)

PARTY DESCRIPTIONS

Vision Quest gallery
Let's manifest our dreams! What do you want in your life? Meet the needs of your spirit by making a collage. Give a window to your unconscious to speak to you. We'll explore the treasure map concept and start to play with found images and objects. A treasure map is a very powerful technique and fun to do.

Color Quilt Collage gallery
Let’s play with layers of colors, textures and patterns. Use your creative imagination to weave your own story to make a painting that’s like a quilt. It’s a process that highlights community, spirituality, family and love. Delve into yourself to discover your favorite memories and lucky charms.

Cosmic Explosion gallery
Let’s paint amazing abstract landscapes. We’ll try three different views: macro, real-life scale and micro. As always, it’s fun to mix colors. We’ll loosen up by imagining a star exploding over the full moon, the serene light on a lake, the bees inside a hive. Display them as a triptych or weave the view together into a whole.

Greeting Cards gallery
Let’s make glamorous cards. I’ll provide six ideas samples for a fast start. (Here’s a hint: stars, glitter, pop-ups, seed packets, transparency and watercolors) You’ll make a dozen cards for friends, family and special clients. Come back and take another class if your heart broke giving away the pretty cards that you really wanted to keep.

Fun Mirrors gallery
Let’s focus on the beauty of you. We’ll start with a centering meditation and affirmation exercise. You’ll decorate a mirror based on what your spirit needs. Dip into the Art Yowza treasure box and paint and collage to your heart’s content. You are the king / queen. Look into the mirror and you’ll face your assets.

Shadow Boxes gallery
Let’s take a sentimental journey. We’ll create 3-D shadow box scenes. We’ll combine photos you bring of people, places, and things, collage backgrounds, found objects (or mementos), and miniature sculpture. It could be a collection of favorite things or a nature scene. It’s a gift that is chock full of interesting stuff and objects…. a sentimental journey.

Tree of Life gallery
Let’s paint blossoms, leaves, branches and roots. Surprise yourself by observing and drawing from real trees or from illustrations / photographs of trees (including Dr. Suess). Incorporate your own symbolism about growth, courage, and life. Add writing or collage if you wish. Play with ink, paint, charcoal, and gesso.

Wild Fruits and Flowers gallery
Let’s paint big wild fruits and flowers. It’s like a mini-vacation that will re-ignite your creative spark. We’ll look deep into the heart of a papaya and an iris. We’ll use several techniques: watercolor on wet paper, drawing back into wet paint, and mixing in textures. You’ll be cheered and surprised by what you can do!
